The Storyteller’s Tale

My name is Espy, short for Esperanza: an autisic, queer, & biracial astrologer, artist, & storyteller. My work explores the intersection of spirituality, social justice, & the human experience. I have my Bachelor’s in Humanities, specializing in Religion, Philosophy, & Human Rights, which laid the foundation for my multidisciplinary approach to understanding the world.

I also graduated from seminary with a Masters in Theological Studies, after a falling out with the church gave me an excellent reason to stop the Divinity track, though my love of spiritual matters remained intact. My graduate research delved into the role of contemplative practices in fostering empathy, compassion, & positive social change. Beyond traditional academia, I hold certifications in Behavior Analysis, Life Coaching, & Meditation – tools I use to enrich my creative process & personal path.

As an astrologer & storyteller, I enjoy writing stories about people, weaving their natal chart placements into a tale they can identify with. I also am in love with the Moon, wanting to shout from the rooftops how much working with her cycles has changed my life for the better. So, I’m writing a book about it.

For fun, I enjoy creating birth charts for my favorite characters on my main publication, Mostly Cosmos, Partially Cards. I feel that having a visual representation for how the signs behave with each other is a wonderful teaching tool, & will be sharing videos of these exclusively on Patreon. Also on Patreon, I discuss the archetypes in their seasons, placements in that sign, & the ruler of that archetype (& what it means to have that ruler in various signs). For certain tiers, I also include journal prompts for the 4 main phases of the Moon, a taste of what I do on a more detailed level in the Moon Magic Journey. So, if you desire to learn more about how to slow down & utilize the cycle of the Moon to tap into your true feelings as she cycles through your natal chart, definitely check it out.

On my Podcast, I discuss my Holy Trinity, my spiritual practice, & my vocation. I feel it is my duty to discuss the stories of the erased, demonized, & defamed Women of the Book. Being led by the examples set by Lady Lilith, Daughter of Heaven & Mother of Demons, who enlightens us with her grounded empowerment; & St. Mary Magdalene, Apostle to the Apostles, who exemplifies embodied leadership & holy intuitive wisdom. Calling all our power back to ourselves, to our bodies, so that we may enjoy the beauty that resides in this world, this creation by the Great Mother of Many Names (the one who I call Asherah, Queen of Heaven) has made for us. Not to endure, but to learn & enjoy. To tune into her magic, the subtle magic of the seasons, the cosmos, the everyday enchantment of mundane routines that become rituals of devotion, to fully devote your talents to a purpose.
